Prion 2024 International Conference was held from October 23rd-27th, 2024 in Nanchang, China, hosted by NeuroPrion Society, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Neurodegenerative Diseases Branch of Chinese Society of Neuroscience, and Nanchang University. The International Prion Conference is the authoritative academic event in the prion industry. Since 2004, it has been successfully held for 19 sessions, covering Europe, North America and other places. This year's event landed in Nanchang, China, which also highlights China's scientific research strength in the field of prion research. Leading experts from around the world, including Nobel Prize winners and academicians of multinational academies of sciences gathered together to discuss the latest research progress of prions and related neurodegenerative diseases (such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease) around key issues such as disease transmission and pathogenesis, the biological structure of misfolded proteins, and cutting-edge diagnosis and treatment technologies. This academic conference provided an interactive platform for scientists and scholars to create a good academic exchange atmosphere.
