The 6^th Asia Oceania Zebrafish Meeting was held between 19^th and 22^th of January 2014 at Hong Kong University of Science & Technology. Bio-Gene cooperated with Union Biometrica to sponsor this meeting.

The audiences of this meeting were mainly from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, USA, Korea and India. The meeting aimed to provide a platform for the zebra fish researchers from Asia and Oceania to exchange their ideas and findings. The meeting was separated into eight sessions, which included Early Development, Biological Clocks, Behavior and Toxicology, Neurogenesis and Organogenesis, and so on. During the meeting, many excellent zebrafish researchers presented their latest research results on zebrafish to the participants.

The sales director of Union Biometrica gave a wonderful presentation, which introduced their latest launched VAST Biolmager System. This technology is used for image capture of 2-7 day old zebrafish larvae. The new system avoids the tedious manual steps of loading, positioning and rotating zebrafish larvae for high-throughput high-content imaging screens. Many zebra fish researchers felt interested in this novel technology.
