On Dec. 23rd, 2014, Bio-Gene and School of Basic Medical Science, Jilin University organized a Bio-energetic Metabolism Workshop, which mainly introduces how to realize metabolic test on a fluorescence microplate reader.
At the workshop, Bio-Gene, the exclusive distributor of Luxcel Biosciences and BMG Labtech, used Luxcel kits and BMG multi-mode microplate reader to share the bio-energetic metabolism technology and experimental techniques with the audiences. Both lecture and demonstration went smoothly and we got fantastic results in the demonstration part. The attendees are satisfied with the experimental results and are willing to have subsequent cooperation with us.
Bio-energetic metabolism is essential for different diseases which include cancer, drug screening, cardiovascular disease, immune, obesity, diabetes and stem cells. Nowadays, oxygen consumption rate (OCR) and extracellular acidification rate (ECAR) are important diameters of cell metabolism. With the combination of BMG multimode microplate reader and Luxcel kits, researchers can obtain important metabolic parameters (OCR, ECAR, Intra Oxygen, ATP, etc.) without difficulties.
