Cell metabolism research is a very hot topic nowadays. Started from July, 2014, Bio-Gene started to organize workshop and seminars for cellular metabolism which aims to promote new and simple technology for cellular metabolism studies. Up to now, Bio-Gene has successfully organized 10 workshops in Shanghai, Nanjing, Xi’an, Changchun, Guangzhou and Fujian. During these workshops, Bio-Gene introduced Germany BMG Labtech/Luxcel multi-function cell metabolism detection platform and its unique technology to attendants. This detection platform is a technology combination of BMG Labtech mircoplate readers and Luxcel cell metabolism reagents. This platform can perform oxygen consumption rate (OCR) detection, intracellular OCR, extracellular acidification rate (ECAR), reactive oxygen species (ROS) detection, ATP, NADH and even real time monitoring for Calcium flux. Besides, this platform can equip with atmospheric control unit (ACU) which maintain stable oxygen and carbon dioxide level for different cellular analysis, e.g. hypoxia, cell proliferation, cell migration, etc.
       On 17th and 19th March, 2015, Bio-Gene successfully organized two workshops in Guangdong Pharmaceutical University and College of Pharmacy, Jinan University.  Both workshops showed positive feedback and comments from researchers and they felt excited for our introduced technology. After the two workshops, Bio-Gene continued to hold another one in Fujian Medical University on April 13th, which came to a complete ending!
      Through the above cellular metabolism workshops, customers feel deep interested in our system. Up to now, there are already 8 institutes purchased BMG Omega/Luxcel platform for their cellular metabolism studies. Most of these institutes got good results for their studies. Bio-Gene is eager to keep introducing this platform to all cell metabolism researchers and hope we can provide an affordable alternative to researchers. Hence, researchers no need to purchase equipment which is very expensive but only dedicated to OCR & ERCA detection.
