On 2nd March, 2016, Bio-Gene Technology was invited to Institute of Blood Transfusion, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences to give a technology seminar titled as “The Ideal Technology To Analysis Exosomes and Microvesicles In Blood”.
     Extracellular vesicles was composed mainly by exosomes (40-200nm) and microvesicles (100-1000nm). In recent years, more and more major diseases are indicated be revealed to exosomes and extracellular vesicles in blood, the detection of these small size biological particles gets more and more attention by researchers.
The UK flow analyzer, Apogee A50-Micro, is designed for exosomes and extracellular vesicles. This system has very high sensitivity (down to 80nm) and high resolution (10nm) for small size particles. A50-Micro can detect not only the size and the number of vesicles, but can also detected different fluorescence dyes or antibodies labeled on the microvesicles.  Thus, it becomes an optimal choice as a high-throughput and multi-parameter detection for microvesicles.
     The technology seminar was conducted by Dr. Lianbing Chen, the Bio-Gene Technology Application Specialist. In the seminar, Dr. Chen share the application of suing A50-Micro system to monitor and analysis exosomes and microvesicles. Besides, Dr. Chen also share different publications about microvesicles detection in patients’ blood.
