    Frontiers in Biomedical Research, HKU 2013

     

     
     
    Frontiers in Biomedical Research had been held successfully in the past eleven years in Hong Kong. It served as a platform to pool together international experts in Genetics and Genomics for exchange of revolutionary ideas, sharing of knowledge and reunion among colleagues and friends around the globe in this field. This year, will be a special one with a focus on Genetics and Genomics in order to honor the contributions of Professor Lap-Chee Tsui, to this important area. Renowned overseas experts and outstanding local scientists have been invited to share their groundbreaking discoveries and achievements along the themes of "Genomics and Populations", "Hunting Disease Genes", "From Disease Gene Discovery to Mechanism" and "Genomic Medicine".
     
    As the distributor of Seahorse Bioscience in China, Hong Kong and Macau, Bio-Gene cooperated with Seahorse Bioscience to attend the Frontiers in Biomedical Research, HKU 2013, which organized by The University of Hong Kong Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine held on Friday and Saturday, December 13 & 14, 2013. Our cell metabolism analyzer----XFe Extracellular Flux Analyzers received enthusiastic attention. Visitors are all show great interest in this new technology.
     
    XFe Extracellular Flux Analyzers is widely applied to drug screening, pharmacology and toxicology, cell physiology, diabetes, obesity, stem cells, cancer, etc., and play a more and more important role in the assessment of relationship between various diseases and mitochondrial energy metabolism. Published articles showing explosive growth in recent years by using XFe Extracellular Flux Analyzers, Harvard and other colleges had published dozens of articles in nature and cell, and other almost 200 high impact factor SCI articles.
